Is it normal i hate humanity?

When we started to exist it was (almost) all about surviving but over the millennia we became the biggest threat of the whole life on earth.
We are exploiting, killing, destroying everything. We already have done that for lots of years. And even though we know this is bad, we still keep doing it. Nothing is going to truly justify it all. We are parasites and need to be removed.

People are assholes. The fact that people drive around with cameras mounted on their dash is one indicator. Gotta watch people. Or the countless security measures (which is never enough), self defense tools, etc.

When there is talk about using natural resources to make throw-away products (like electronics), I sometimes wonder how there are any natural resources left.
It is true that some things are recycled but that only goes so far.

We had this conversation the other day. You're right but things are better than they were and are improving. In the UK (and elsewhere) recycling is a big thing, we're trying to cut down on plastics, plant more trees, use more renewable energy etc. It's not enough but it's a start.
IMO population growth is just as big a problem.

You're way off. Humanity is a great thing. As human beings, I really believe our potential could be so much more than what it is. The real problem is this society that we are all programmed into. I believe we should be living our lives a different way than what we are actually being brainwashed to do.

I mean the idea of commerce creates a lot of problems in itself. Is it really necessary to have to pay for healthcare? To pay for food? These are things you need to survive. To me it shouldn't even be about money when it comes to these things especially. We should just help each other and not expect to gain anything from it. However, in our society it's looked at differently. It seems like everyone is running around trying to constantly make a profit off of someone else, or take advantage of a situation to help themselves. Not only that, people actually feel good about it. It really is pathetic when you realize it. I feel like the world would be a lot better place if we looked at things differently.

The thing is, people don't just pop out of the womb and that's the way it is. It's a program. It's our environment, it's how we're brought up, and how we're raised. Whether you want to believe it or not.

I could go on all day about what's wrong with our society and I'd probably still be talking. The only advice I can give to you, be the change you wanna see in the world.

    • Potentials, yes. What I fear is that humanity and its society is running in circles and never will be any better than that, though it has the potential to it.
Anyway, your input was very interesting. I'll take your words and want to implement the change.

I hear lots of people complaining about this and telling other people how bad they are and what they should do. Unfortunately, I don’t see so many people actually doing something to help the Earth.

Thankfully, we’re nothing like we were about 50-100 years ago during the industrial revolution, mindlessly raping the world.

    • Yeah, that's really something I'm glad about.

I'm on it to try and not let anything come to waste as well as to buy products that were made under fair conditions in my country. That's not much, there's more that can be done. I've plans but currently not the money for these. Sometimes it's hard not to waste or buy imported stuff and so on but if more people would do it things would be a bit better on this planet.

    • Did I claim to be much better? Don't see anything like that.
I'm collecting bottles with a refundable deposit, I'm using my backpack for shopping instead of plastic bags, I don't need my heater in Winter and prefer candles over blubs. Batteries need to be rechargeable and since I'm not allowed to drive a car and - for the safety of others and my own - I don't ride a bike but walk the whole way instead. But that's it what I do.
I'm still wearing clothing that was shipped, I'm still eating fruits from the south or west and so on. On the other hand, there's almost no way for me to buy regional products anymore and I'm reacting to most local fruits because they were treated with chemicals. We're overrun by foreign people who bring their culture to this country. And all that I called normal once is a rarity now because none of them wants it in a supermarket or elsewhere.
But tell me, what are the others doing? I see people with their motorbikes and sports cars having races on the street. I see people spitting and throwing their plastic garbage at the ground though there are goddamn trash bins for it. There are way too many foreign shops to import their goods which are, sometimes better often worse but in general, as good as any regional products. Graffiti name tags aren't art, piss on the walls isn't an act of rebellion but disgusting. Everywhere I go people of my age are talking about the new smartphones instead of using their old ones until they are broken. Even if these are broken someday, mainly after a short period of time since more people aren't paying attention to what they shouldn't do with their phone instead of being cautious, they don't think a minute about what they have done. No, it's just a really bad product! It always has been! It's all the manufacturer's fault! These guys who may be exploited! It surely is their fault, of course! Instead of recycling them they rot somewhere in a dusty edge. And these are only the things I can see from my window. But there's way more to it than that.
I will not start with the resources that are wasted for a million unnecessary products. I will not talk about forest clearings. I'll not talk about marine pollution and ocean acidification. Oh no, I will not. I won't even talking about intensive livestock farming.
It's all about money and favors and the own good. As long as I'm fine everything's okay. This whole society is rotten and we barely notice it.
