Is it normal i get more comments on things that dont matter?

On facebook I will often post songs I made or stories I write and unfortunately they get no attention to those posts but soon as I post something unimportant and stupid it gets a bunch of likes and comments. For example I shared my new album and nobody listens to it but then I post that my computer chair broke when I sat in it and all of a sudden everyone is interested.

    It's because people can relate on the superficial level to things that are humdrum normal day-to-day bullcrap.

    Anything original or interesting or creative, forget it. I've concluded that what most people want to see is stupid but cute cat pictures.
