Is it normal i get jealous of people's names?

So, I do not use my real name. Never liked it. I'm planning on legally changing it, but for now its whatever I want it to be.

I am in a group where we changed our names. I use 2 chosen names interchangibly. One of them is a normal name, and the other is a noun.

We have fluid names too, we can call someone a different name they picked out at the drop of a hat, and never return to the other name.

Whenever I see someone with a name I like, I get a sort of jealousy for the name, and think about changing my name to that. Is this normal?

    I kinda wanna change my name. Something of my own creation, nothing conventional. Haven't settled on anything so I'm just staying put for now

    I do get jealous of people with cool names

    There was a customer I felt sympathy for though, his name was Bud Craddock. Say it fast enough and it sounds like butt crack lol

    This resonates with me. I hate my birthname with a passion and changed it 41 years ago. The name was common at the time of my birth but I never liked it.

    Normal, but being jealous of it won't do you any good, but if you don't like your name then get it legally changed one day.

    I have a unisex name that doesn't really stand out to most people, and always either got "that's a boy's name" (even though it's actually more common for girls, I believe) or other girls would get complimented on what pretty names they had and no one would say anything about mine. It bothered me when I was younger, but now I like my name (but not the nickname many people choose for me, and refuses to quit calling me) and couldn't imagine it as anything different.

    I don’t mind my real name, it works for me. The only name I get a bit jealous of is Frank/Frankie, for some reason I’m drawn to it.

    I feel you I don’t like my name sometimes and think about changing it but I know it’s better not to. Too much bullshit from my family will start

      Same, my family acts as if my name was bestowed upon me as something to worship, they get very taken aback when I mention I never use that name for anything other than legal processes

        Yup that sounds like family. So question, if you do change your name what would it be? If I could, I would pick the name of a flower. I like flowers lol

    I don’t hate my name. But I don’t really like when people use it. It kind of makes me feel like I’m in trouble when people call me by my name.
