Is it normal i get annoyed with this specific ebay seller?

I was looking for vintage jewelry items because I have a keen interest in just that. So once in a while, I'll browse ebay for those items. A few days back, I discovered someone who is LYING about vintage items. She's purchasing cheap pendants that you can find all throughout ebay in bulk for $1.00 per 20 and she's putting a few of those together, calling it vintage, LABELING them by year and putting descriptions such as "found in garage sale at a large estate. my vintage eye suggests this item is from the 1960s." There are dozens of them and in one of the other descriptions, she wrote, "Lovely vintage item from the 1970s. Cleaned it up a bit and added a new chain. Found at thrift store near my house. Paid $50 but no longer need it." This item is worth 0.80 cents on listings from china and she lists it for freaking $85

I tried to figure out how to report but have no idea how that works, sigh! Is it normal I'm pissed off at someone who lies on ebay and tries to rip people off? She has a 98% positive feedback and people have actually purchased her overpriced crap.. Sigh

I recently played dumb with her and contacted her through ebay, telling her i'm interested but that I think I've seen some just like it on ebay sold from china for 1.00 and if she believes it to be real vintage. She has since responded with, "It's definitely vintage. I have been at this for 15 years and know what vintage is when I see it. You don't have to believe me, you don't have to buy what I sell. If you don't like it go to another seller."

She has 200+ of these fake vintage items on her account all for $30+.

I'm not too familiar with E Bay but with a online trade site I'm a member of, we can report such traders to the administrators to check them out.

Yeah. As sketchy as ebay is, there are some sort of administrative controls.

      • I wasn't sure of it but apparently, the seller has since updated the description of the item I asked about..she changed it to, "new vintage". New vintage...Is that not a contradiction? I guess I scared her by pointing it out. She better change the descriptions of all others. I just found out a way to report, thankfully so I'll do that if so.

Surely, there's a "report user" button somewhere on her page?

Can you put a link up or an item number?
