Is it normal i get annoyed when people label things as racist incorrectly?

They say someone hates muslims they're racist
They say someone hates mexicans they're racist

No That's no racist. I'm not saying its not hateful and wrong but it's not racist.

Muslim is not a race its someone who practices the religion of Islam
Mexican is not a race it's a nationality

I've heard people say crap like this forever, but since Trump started running it's non stop.
I don't care if you hate him or whoever, and if you think they're hateful then by all means say so but will everybody stop saying that everything is racist. The term is not accurate.

is it normal this annoys me.

    Trump's a racist. If you want to argue about pedantics go ahead. Even Paul Ryan (Rep speaker of the house) issued a statement saying that Trump's comments are racist.

    I get annoyed when people wrongly discriminate against people based on their religious beliefs, nationality, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

    Ps- Trump said the judge is Mexican when the guy was actually born in Indiana.

    If i don't like islam and muslim extremists, am i racist then? No it's a religion and terrorist who does vicious acts on innocents. I agree with you that sometimes it's an incorrect label.

      If you don't like Muslims, then you are religiophobic, or more commonly - a bigot. You (like many people including myself) may not agree with the teachings of Islam, but to dislike someone purely on the basis of their faith seems a bit shitty.

      If you don't like Muslim extremists, then I would have to wonder what extremists you DO like. "Yeah, them Muslim extremists are bad, but them folk from Westboro seem real nice"... Again, bigot if it's based on the religion, sensible of it's a general dislike for extremists of all forms.
