Is it normal i forgot why i named my son?

This might sound weird but anyway, I was thinking about my son's name because I don't really like it -I don't hate it, I don't love it- and I can't remember why I named him that. I can't think of a single reason! I don't even remember where I got the idea from.

I remember the reason for the alternative name I had as well as why I didn't choose it, though.

It's bothering me somewhat because it's like a void in my memory but it seems like it should be important enough to remember. Then again maybe it's not so strange, begging the question-IIN?

    I just recently forgot as well, that was before the sacrificial ceremony though. He never held it against me, I mean how could he. My father had dementia, and his father before him, it is a long running problem in the family.

          I wonder if hypnosis would help. I'm skeptical of the practise but then again I have had success recalling things with some mental trickery before. Those instances were different types of memories though, things like recalling a forgotten number sequence and where I put something. Have you ever tried hypnotism?
