Is it normal i find jerks funny?

So, I'm a fairly compassionate person. I'm quick to defend 'underdogs', I care about people's problems- both big and small, etc. However, I notice I have a crude sense of humor. When someone makes an unhelpful or sometimes rude joke, I occasionally find it funny. Even in cases where other people are really only offended, I laugh. Not that most rude comments are funny, some are just rude. I also still feel compassion for the individual who needs help, while I'm laughing at their expense. Is all this normal?

Some things are just funny to certain people. You cant help it. At least you still feel compassion for those people seeking help.

That's normal. At least you own up to it. One minute i'm reprimanding someone for making a mean joke and the next I'm making a joke about something 10x more cruel and morbid.
