Is it normal i feel depressed when i'm sick?

I get extremely down and depressed every time I get sick. I feel so useless, and although I really want to get up and do something, I don't have the energy to, but I can only sleep for so long.

I get extremely depressed any time I am not in regular work, but being sick I feel just makes it worse. I am really not happy unless I am being productive.

I agree with this; Especially if you had a lot planned for the week.

I honestly feel like time is slowing down every time I get sick.

If you're currently sick, there's a way to get rid of it a bit quicker. Have you heard about how "pleasuring yourself" can make you well a bit sooner?

I get the feeling. I don't feel useless but I hate the feeling of being really sick. Sometimes it's even to the point where I'd like to kill myself to stop the pain.

    • That's honestly how I felt yesterday (not that I was going to act on it, but it was like the pain was not escapable; I hurt too much to sleep, but even medicine wasn't helping curb the pain while I was awake. My head was pounding, I couldn't breathe, my throat was completely raw. It was pure hell).

Oh, and once I FINALLY fell asleep with some Advil PM, some wrong number idiot who has confused my number with someone else's twice before (the last time being at 4 a.m.) calls me at midnight and wakes me back up. I should probably just block his number.

I'm just feeling pure misery at the moment. At least I've finally broken a fever, so I'm much better than I was. I've rested as much as I can and now I'm full of energy, yet at the same time my body is unable to do shit and I just feel trapped laying on my ass in a bed, which I absolutely hate. I also already canceled my weekend plans because I was so drowsy and out of it today, so I'm going to be bored out of my mind and probably still feeling like shit all weekend.

Just turn of your phone ring when you sleep. Why didn't you think of that earlier?

I know how you feel. It's shit. You don't want to feel this way. I know it's hard. But it's almost over and you'll be better soon. Don't worry.

        • I keep it on in case there's ever an emergency with my family, my business, etc. I'm usually on call at all hours. I'm pretty useless right now because I'm not sure I could even safely drive with how drowsy I am, but it's habit.

I hate the way I feel when I'm really sick, but I honestly like being waited on, and taken care of when I'm sick.
