Is it normal i feel bad when ever someone other than fam, does something nice?

Well other than immediate family, if a friend, acquaintance or close friend does something for me I feel bad about it. If I don't do something to equal their gift or kind action such as buying me dinner which someone did the other night randomly, then I feel I'm taking that person for granted. I feel if I just simply thank them and not do anything in return then that makes me a user ? Especially if a particular friend does nice things on a regular basis! is it normal I feel this way? Is there a fine line between becoming a user ?

You're really sweet. I used to be like this too so may I hazard a guess that you're just incredibly grateful for other people's generosity? :) No need to feel indebted to others. I think your genuine thanks and gratitude will show and make them very happy. Plus if they ever do need real help in the future you can always return the favor then!

This is normal to feel bad about it.

People don't normal do nice things for others expecting a return of some sort unless they are a fatty fatty head.

As long as you get them back it's ok. You seem very aware of it and concerned about not being seen as a user, so it's unlikely you'll let it become that way.

If someone does something nice for another person, that's their choice, if your doing stuff for people because you want them to do something in return your a fucking scab.
