Is it normal i dont know how to use iin?

Am I saying "no its not normal" because it's immoral and creepy? Or are we to take the opinion that normal is the majority? Just because something is in the minority doesn't make it not normal e.g. If someone says "I'm 25 and getting a lot of grey hair, my dad turned grey at 23 too, iin?" Are you really going to say no? Therefore a minority thing still might be normal. Something like "is it normal all bankers are greedy?" is hard to answer, it is normal as bankers are like that, but its immoral and they shouldn't be.

Normal; the usual, average, or typical state or condition.
So, in your case; "I'm 25 and getting a lot of grey hair, my dad turned grey at 23 too, iin?" it is NOT normal.
Normal is not a judgement of good or bad, whether you like or dislike something, but only is it typical or most common?
Most guys do not go grey at 25, period.

Answer the question truthfully, in your opinion. Otherwise why even bother?

Of course. What are you going to do lie? How the hell does lying help anybody? If you can't answer honestly, why even answer?
Or do you think everybody on here is asking to be lied to just to feel good about themselves? I guess the site should have been called is it normal or lie?

            • Listen arsewipe, being normal is more complicated than what you're making it out to be. Your vote counts for shit anyway. Ive seen posts where 9 people say yes its normal, and 1 says its not, and there you are in the comments talking your tunnel visioned tripe that everyone else disagrees with.

Use the words however you like. People who say you should only use normal to mean something that is common, usual, average, mainstream, in the majority etc. are being too one-dimensional. To say that the word is more complicated than that isn't dishonest or untruthful.

Normal just means something that fits in with norms. Those can be the norms of a society as you perceive them to be, or the personal norms that you live by or would like to see adopted by wider society, For example: gay people are in the minority numerically and they're often marginalised from the mainstream, but that doesn't mean they're not normal. They are normal; it's the world they live in that's fucked.

IIN isn't a test. We don't have to pick the right answers. We make the answers. The votes and the percentage scores just aren't that important though. The votes are just a number, without any explanation of why the people who voted did as they did. The comments are where you find the good details. I know it's tempting to look at the percentage score for validation or comfort that you are normal, or for some sort of "tough love" if you're not, but it's just not very useful. We're a tiny number of internet users. We can't be used to generate empirical, numerical data. What we can be used to generate is comments, which are sometimes reflective and useful to an OP who wants to think more deeply than one number.

    • Thank you dom180! This was a perfect example - being gay is a minority thing but is still normal.

    Good question!

I tend to follow the dictionary definition of normal, as gypsysailor mentioned; the usual, common, average.

That is without moral judgement of any sort. Whether or not I agree with whatever it is doesn't factor in to my vote.

So I can vote something 'Normal', even if it is something I disagree with, find gross or difficult to understand. Similarly I can vote something 'Not Normal' even if I do it too, totally understand it or find it acceptable.

Normal to me is a synonym for common or typical. It is NOT a synonym for acceptable or OK.

Look at my ranty post from way back when:
