Is it normal i dont feel bad when people in authority positions get hurt?

Im white, if that matters. But I hate police. Nothing more than a bunch of old high school bullies trying to keep the bullying going. But its not just cops, its prison guards, army guys. All these people walk around like because they chose a certain job that some heroic people do, they are automatically heroes and deserve respect. Is it normal to hate people who think they can tell me what to do?

They're not all like that you know. I personally have never been treated badly by the police. When I lived on the Gulf Coast I had a flat tire and a Biloxi police officer stopped and changed my tire for me. I wasn't asking for help, and I was already changing my tire myself, but I did appreciate his help.

  • The problem with law enforcement is that for a fraction of those who are a part of it it was their "If I can't do this I'll be a cop" which is the absolute opposite of what we need. Your everyday officer doesn't make a lot of money, and the training is far far behind what it should be. We should not be putting guns and badges on undertrained people.

The good cops are always the ones who wanted to be a cop their whole life, or want to follow in a relatives footsteps. Not the ones who use it as a fall back or a second option.

The problem isn't the police, it's the system that trains and reviews them.

Though not feeling bad when any human is harmed is a little rough. Unless said human is absolute shit.

(I'm very ignorant to the correct usage of the terms: Cop, officer, police, law enforcement. So if I'm getting my words mixed up. Oopsie daisys)

    • Cops are eh, prison guards are a special kind of low class people and I cant feel any sympathy for what happens to them. The whole system is set up like the cops can do whatever they want and investigate themselves. They protect murderers, rapists, etc. because they are also law enforcement.

      • Ahhhh, I see. When I was incarcerated they were all as you would expect someone to be who had to work with a bunch of cocky criminals. Not all bad, there's always the one old guy who's been doing it forever who just sorta chews your ear off about how you can "turn your life around" and whom you just got a lot of respect for. Then there's the "jerkoffs" who treat you for what you are, an inmate. Then the assholes who just really hate their life and take it out on you. But really that's just how people are.

        • That's how bullies work, so they get jobs like that so they can bully people without any real chance of somebody fighting back because they are pathetic cowards. They can knock you into a wall and if you say anything back they get their goon buddies to kick the crap out of you. If I heard a prison guard died, hey, one less rapist on the tax payroll.
