Is it normal i dont believe online relationships can work?

How do you know the person is not hiding anything like married or syphillis? Anyone can say anything when writing you can pretend to be a hot 16 boy trying to meet a 14 girl but you are actually a 40 year man.

Sure, if you're stupid enough to not voice/video chat prior to meeting. Or to never actually meet.

Most of the online relationships I've heard about didn't start out that way. They just started out as online friends (playing games, skypeing, whateves etc.) for a few years and then it just sort of happened.

I have an online friend who I've known for a while but haven't met yet, but when I do, if she says "can you meet me alone in the woods?" I would say sure. And this is coming from a pretty big skeptic. Now, I'm not condoning such insanity, as a rule of thumb meet in a public place the first time, but my point is if you've talked to a person for a while + at least talked on the phone or video chatted, you can often get a good read on a person and don't have much to worry about.

That's why we have phones and videochat.

I think falling in love is also possible online. You just have to make a plan to meet once you are ready and have a discerning eye or feel for lies...sometimes you can tell after months of chatting with someone online, their personality and issues and even note inconsistency in their communication to you so you know if they are speaking lies.

A hot 16 year old boy? What the fuck? Child perv. And why the fuck would a 16 year old date a 14 year old, that's wrong on so many levels.

All my online relationships end up with sex. Otherwise you are just another screen name to me. Social networking sites are for pussys fags and bitches. Online relationships don't work.

As long as they stay online and not taken too seriously, then I see no problem. But when they start taking the place of real face to face relationships, then I believe they can be just a way to hide from life.

They seem like a waste of time and effort.

So far so good, it's not online anymore! We're together now. He took me home to meet his family for the 4th of July weekend. I had a wonderful time!
