Is it normal i don't wear my glasses cause i like things blurry?

This might sound weird, I'm very near sighted and have had glasses for years. I don't wear them most of the time because I see too many details, I like seeing people and things blurry because I can focus better on what I'm doing. I also get annoyed at noticing cracks in walls specks of dirt etc. I prefer everything to look like a Monet. Anybody else like this?
Btw yes I wear them for driving but that's about it.

I dunno, I can't do shit without my glasses, but I do remove them to check out from time to time.

  • I went swimming a couple days ago with my glasses on and they fell off into the lake. I spent 2 hours going under the water to feel around for them and never did. I did snag my hand on a fishing hook though. It sucked. Those were expensive glasses and now I have to get a tetanus shot.

Are you near-sighted or far? When I look with my glasses off, objects aren't speckled.

    • Very near sighted I can only read the E on the eye chart and it's even blurry.

I'll tip my glasses to you, because I don't know how you manage to pull it off. I am very near-sighted myself, and without my glasses, I am screwed and miserable. Bumping into things and having to feel around.

Never thought about that, but when you explain it like that it makes a certain amount of sense.
