Is it normal i don't understand why people always want to gender things?

Especially everyday things such as clothes, toys, colors, etc. I had a woman come inside the pet shop I work at and ask about some of the fish on display, I told her they were all males and she got angry at me because one of the boys were pink. Pink wasn't even classified as a "girls color" until hitler came into power after labelling all the homosexuals with pink badges. Before then it was the opposite, pink was suppose to be for guys and blue was for girls.

I can't even shop for proper clothes because everytime I look in the female section the clothes are either too revealing, too tight, there's some stupid fucking thing on it that's suppose to be "cute" or some shit like a baby kitten, (I'm 18, not fucking 5) or there's no fucking pockets in the pants. Because of this I only buy clothes tailored for men, my parents hate this though and always look at me weirdly.

It's just honestly really annoying, especially growing up as during my childhood I was always expected to act more feminine. Sorry buddy, but having a vagina doesn't determine whether you're going to like barbie dolls over cars.

    There is a point.

There is basic stuff that gets gendered for a reason that is understandable. (Like pads and tampons or w/e even though the ads are often pretty ridiculous. For one example)

But a lot of the 'gendered' things in my opinion are unneccercarily so.

For example that thing you mentioned where that person got all mad over a male fish having the colour pink on it??? Just because it's pink dont mean it's gotta be a girl y'know.

Also i believe pink was considered to be more of a 'boys' colour because it was a 'strong' colour and 'blue' was considered the more feminine of the two thus for 'girls' because it was a 'softer' colour. I think that was how it went.

Genders exist, sorry if that's offensive to people. You cant gender-neutralize the entire world just because some people have some quirky ideas about it.

Its just naturally that things get gendered

Sure you can have your own opinion and dress however you want. Have your own style.

But things are gendered because gender exist. And thats the way most girls are, are feminine.

It seems being honest and truthful about the topic got you some downvotes. Here, an upvote from one sensible person to another.

I think it just depends on what you identify with and your upbringing.
