Is it normal i don't understand how you can think the dictionary is a lie?

I thought the point of a dictionary was to define words to the general public who did not already understand it. If you say the entire dictionary is a lie you are saying all facts are a lie. If you say all facts are a lie we no longer have a sense of reality. So why would anyone say its a lie?

    I don't believe objective fact exists in the social world, and language is part of the social world. Dictionaries exist to give people who have not heard the word before a reasonable understanding of it, not to give fodder to lexicographical nitpickers.

    "When we define a word, we are only inviting others to use it as we would like it to be used".

    Who in their right mind would call a dictionary a lie?
    A dictionary is not a collection of opinions, it is a collection of information.
