Is it normal i don't like going to restaurants alone?

I don't mind if it's like a fast food place. But I hate eating alone at an actual sit down restaurant, if I don't have anyone to go with I usually won't go.

is it normal that I don't like going to a restaurant alone?

Eating is often social even at home so it does feel weird to go alone but more people eat alone than you realize. People who travel for work, very busy people, etc. You can use it as an opportunity to meet people too. I'm not super social but a couple times I was alone and joined in with another table after striking up conversation.

I don't necessarily feel it's normal to not like to eat alone, but it is rather commonplace. I personally don't mind going out to eat by myself, and honestly find it rather rewarding like I'm treating myself.

    Do you have to, though?

I had breakfast by myself at a cafe this morning. Does that count as a restaurant?

I used to care about going to places by myself - cafes, restaurants, shows...

Now I just go, because fucked if I'm gonna miss out just cos no one else is around.

Very understandable. I wouldn't set foot in a restaurant alone.
