Is it normal i don't bother to buy tp until i'm just about out or bone dry?

I don't think it's me being cheap. I spend a lot of money on groceries, but I just hate buying toilet paper. I will only buy the smallest pack such as a four roll, or individual ones that are wrapped in paper. when one bathroom finally runs out I have to run to the other one just to wipe my ass. Then I still don't buy rolls until the last one is almost down to the glue, or out altogether. I don't know why I do this. Does anyone else do this? Is this a man thing?

I do this, and I'm a woman!! I end up going from TP to napkins to tissues sometimes before I get more. God forbid it gets to the point I have to use paper towels.

I have no idea why I do it either, because it really does suck when I run out.

    • A friend of mine said that she learned her lesson to keep supplies up when she had to throw out her hand towel after running out for the first time.

I howled with laughter when she told me. :)

        Oh, man, lol!!

A long time ago I was at a friend's house and I had to pee, he said he knew he didn't have any TP and threw me a t-shirt, telling me to 'use this'...I was like, uh...are you sure?? Yeah, he was serious...

Another time a friend had run out and there was a stack of coffee filters in there. Actually they worked pretty good and were soft!! Better than a napkin. Probably not good for the pipes, I'd imagine!!

The worst thing I ever did at my own house was use the fabric shower curtain.

At my mom's house, a neighborhood kid was over playing with us and he went to the bathroom and there wasn't a TP outage or anything, but it was like that scene from Dumb and Dumber 2 with the melted candy bar all over the bathroom...THERE'S SHIT EVERYWHERE!!! We had to throw out every fucking thing, the rug, the towels, the shower curtain, everything, including things like toothbrushes just in case. The kid had a slight degree of autism, but we had no idea he had that problem, he functions very normally much of the time. I don't know if it was an accident or if he had problems with the bathroom, but that was a shitty day!! Needless to say he never came over to play again.

Boy, I have a lot of stupid, gross stories!! Way too many, I think!!

I am paranoid of being out of toilet paper I put it on the shopping list or steal some when I have a week or less in the cupboard even if I am only on a rice diet i but my toilet paper first.

It's more expensive to buy TP in the smallest packages!!! Just suck it up, buy a jumbo pack, and you won't need to get more for a long time!!!

Like it was stated above, just go to BJ's (Berkley Jensen, I believe) or Costco or Sam's Club..etc. They're basically all the same store. Wholesale.

Haha, that's what bj's stands for here too. But it is also a store. That's why I put what it stands for in parenthesis so there wouldn't be any confusion.

I don't go to Costco, I hate crowds and fat people. We actually have stores here believe it or not, I just don't like the idea of buying it or storing it. I wish I had a roommate or boyfriend, or someone that liked buying toilet paper. Also I don't like ripping open the packaging.

You should just get a bidet installed. Problem solved. :)

A bidet would be great, I like to be super clean down there.
