Is it normal i don’t get why we talk behind people’s back?

If we have a problem with another person, why are we nice to their face, but as soon as they leave the room we say the nastiest things about them. Why can’t we find a discrete way to at least help the person we hate for the reason we hate them?

People like to talk behind people's back for different reasons, which might include but not limited to being insecure, just don't have the nerve to tell them whatever the issue may be. Also people like to put others down in ways to try and make themself feel better about themself.

Cowardice, fear of confrontation, fear in general

Yeah, most of the time I honestly wouldn't have the bollocks to confront them about it, but I wouldn't then go talking shit about them afterwards. I'd just keep it to myself.

  • It can be a nice way to let off steam, without causing a nasty confrontation.

I think that it's fine to talk a little shit between friends who can keep their mouths shut, as long as everything being said is true.

The problems start when loose lips start spreading rumors, especially in the work place. Be careful who you talk to, because trash talk usually gets exaggerated and twisted as it's passed along.

I won't be helping any of the people I hate. It takes an awful lot for me to hate somebody, so they must have done something truly horrible.
If I saw them IRL I'd probably be polite, just because I hate drama and confrontation. They know what they did and they'll have to live with the guilt for the rest of their lives, that's enough for me.
