Is it normal i do like the english?

So there was just s post created where the OP stated how they hate the Britts because of their personalities. Fair Enough if that’s what they encountered.

But as an American, I love the English. Why?

I love their humor. They have somewhat of a nerdy, autistic humor that I get. I think it’s much better than most American humor.

I think their guys are cute. When I think of a British man, I think of someone who is shorter, but he’s somewhat poetic, maybe musical, and very intelligent. I have a crush on few British users on this site based on their personality.

They’re innovative. They gave us the first computer, the internet as we know it, 3d printing, the jaws of life, finger printing for criminals, cruise ships, pretty much every breed of dog there is. For health they gave us the first plastic surgery, early skin grafts, Viagara, in vitro fertilization, ultrasounds, etc. Overall, they’re a great people.

I am a Brit. Finally someone who isn’t a stereotypical brat!! That other post was just a bunch of clueless Americans being disgustingly horrible to Brits just to make them look better and higher above them. True some of the things are true
1). Food is not that great(apart from roast dinner)
2. The British museum is full of artefacts stolen from other countries.
3. The weather is horrible. I have no prob admitting that.
But that’s no reason to call us humourless idiots. They think they are geographical geniuses but really they are stereotypical losers. Thanks for not being those people.

  You’re food is OK, at least to me. I want to try an English breakfast. I love fish-n-chips, normally when it’s whitefish. But sorry, i don’t get why anybody would put ketchup on baked beans :)

Computer yes if you credit Babbage. Internet no. The internet was widely born with tcp/ip which was a development of arpanet. The US DoD.

I think people are just people. It’s narrow minded whenever anyone stereotypes any nation. Some English people are lovely and some are jerks. Same as everywhere else. I admire you for making your own mind up.

    Since they used to rule most of the world, usually by force, I'd say that's a correct observation. The British Empire. I think they only have the Falklands left now, and they fought like hell to keep that.

      I can’t copy and paste, but research 50 greatest inventions from England, it should be about the 5th down on Google. plastic surgery has roots from ancient India, but modern techniques originated out of London in the 1910s.
