Is it normal i dislike it when people try to pursue someone who's taken?

At my job theres this customer who shops there frequently. He's tried to get me to go on a date with him after I've clearly told him I have a boyfriend and I'm not interested, like four times. My manager said the next time he comes around I should call AP(security) on my walkie and have him kicked out. I'm supposed to be nice to customers, so telling him to eat shit and die isn't a good idea, so I might just call security, but warn him first. I dont get this person. What part about me being in a happy relationship does he not understand? I'm old enough to be this dudes mom, ffs! Over the years I've seen other people do this crap to my friends too. Why cant they just go for someone who's single?

You are totally normal in your attitudes, and opinions about this type of awful person. I rather suspect that this guy is one of those douchebags who sees someone like you as a challenge. Next time you see this asshole don't hesitate to call security!

They're self-destructive/unhinged and can't hold a decent relationship for long.

Call security immediately, because if you keep giving him attention he'll take it as you accepting his advances.

He's a punk kid, and you're the cougar in his eyes. Maybe he doesn't believe you that you're taken. I've had similar problems before. When I was 30, this frickin 20 year old kid would not take no for an answer. We had mutual friends so we would see each other from time to time. He was TOO young! Dang 20 year old.. jeesh.. So annoying. So, yeah I get what you're saying.

An ass(which entails the muscles in fucking a woman) that is so useless and incompetent that it's a waste of whatever panties he comes into contact with. Sorry for the confusion is autocorrected to the wrong kind of "waste".

Because he's an arrogant dickhead, and a Prima Donna. If I was your manager, I would ask him to leave, and not return.

This younger generation is, unfortunately, clueless, and class-less. They don't appreciate manners, have no respect, and don't give a shit about consequences.

    Good Luck !!

Oh that's right, I've noticed that, no older men harrass women and won't take no for an answer...... NOT

        Ellenna,

Maybe respond to the O/P's question?

Stay on point: This is a younger guy, REPEATEDLY hitting on this older woman, at her JOB, and she has told him, REPEATEDLY, NO !

Are there older men, who act disgusting, and slovenly, too? YOU BET, but that's not what the O/P was asking.

There are morons, of ALL ages, to be sure. Many of them come out of the woodwork, on here.

My advice to ANY woman, (any age) who is being harassed, like this, whether at home, at work, in public, etc., is to report it, to the appropriate authorities: Mall cops, Police, workplace security / supervisor, boyfriend/husband.... whatever the case may be.

I am 60, and recently retired, but I can speak from experience, that the younger generation is a "different animal" than us 'old-school' types. In the last 10 years, of my 37 year self-employed business, I wouldn't hire ANYONE under 30 years old. They show up late, talk on their cellphones all day (on the clock), are sloppy, use profanity on the job, don't pay much attention to hygiene/body odor, and could care less, about the quality of their work.

There ARE exceptions, of course. I've hired 50 year olds, who sucked, and I've hired 20 year olds, who rocked ! So, yes, I'm very aware you can't have a stereotype, for any age group.

BACK TO THE O/P's POINT: This woman, has told this jackass, 4 times, NO.

For some guys, it's all about the challenge. Some guys also hit on much older women because they believe they'll be grateful for the attention and an easy conquest.

But maybe the guy just finds you really, really attractive, and he hopes you'll be unattached sooner or later.

If you find his attention annoying, I suggest you state clearly one more time that you're not interested, you don't find what he's doing amusing, and that if he ever hits on you again you will call security to have him chucked out.
