Is it normal i'd rather daydream about things than actually have them happen?

Sometimes I like to daydream about my friends, crushes, family etc. But I would rather just fantasize about these things because I don't want my perfect imaginary life to end in a real despicable life. is it normal ?

It's normal to enjoy daydreaming about things vs. actually having them happen, because in your fantasy world, everything goes exactly the way that you want it to, as opposed to reality when things can (and usually do) go wrong.

That's no way to live. Fantasies are good, but my opinion is that one should save them for things out of reach, or when you really need them and when you are trying to meet a goal. They are meant to motivate you toward a better life. Using your fantasies to protect yourself from the big scary world is selfish, self-limiting and wrong.

It's totally normal to fantasize about these things, and if you put forth a little effort parts of those fantasies might actually become reality.

I get where you're coming from, especially with the whole having your crush like you back. Sometimes it's just better to fantasize then actually have it happen.
