Is it normal i'd hate to have sex with someone i don't love?

I was having a conversation with a friend, and they told me that they could have sex with someone they don't love, or are in love with. I told them I couldnt have sex with someone I dont know well and love, and they think thats weird. Not knowing someone and loving someone is a major turnoff for me. I have sex with people because I both love them and it feels nice, not just the last reason. I'm a guy btw. Is this normal?

EDIT: I think it would be genuinely impossible, I'm not sure I could get hard with someone I don't know.

    Totally normal. Keep being yourself man. The cultural idea is for men to have a lot of one night stands.
