Is it normal i cant figure out how to classify this type of thinking?

What would you call this? A person who 100 percent of the time jumps to worst case scenario. So when its anything less then what they imagined was going to happen they are happy, even if everyone else is freaking out over it. For example someone is n ew to driving and is with this person in the car. Person B passenger imagined that person A is probably very likely to run over a biker, Kill them, crash into a building. So if you manage not to do any of those 3 things this person is very very happy. Its not really looking on the bright side(Optimistic) since this person imagined all these horrible things happening. Possibly being conditioned to believe so from a young age. Which at the same for this reason makes this person a huge perfectionist.

They're cautious? I don't know. You don't give enough coherent information to make a decent guess.

    • Person does this 100 percent of the time. So with every situation, every person, every single thing is a possible end of the world. No matter what it is. So Person A believes all the time that they are going to die, or someone is going to get hurt, or the world is going to come to an end. So anytime one or more of these things does not happen they are happy. Since the stuff they think is going to happen 90 percent of the time does not (Since they are EXTREME) they are happy with outcomes most of the time.

I would call them paranoid if they were freaking out about every little that that could possibly go wrong. But that is a misuse of the word, because their fears are environmental and situational, and paranoia is more about fearing people. What you are describing is severe anxiety, so I guess you could call them anxious. Either way, they may want to get some help dealing with their irrational fears.

Huh? This person needs meds. I suggest a chill pill. They come in red or blue.

What does person A think about all this? Is person B ALWAYS wrong? Maybe we could all ask person C, what do you say?
