Is it normal i can't trust craigslist these days?

I look at the gigs & jobs on cl and it's filled with spam (way worse than here) and sketchy 'ladies needed, well pay for start soon' ads, the acronyms get confusing, the personals invoke feelings of secondhand shame mixed with pity, and missed connections is a literal nightmare. The whole place has turned into a cesspool. I'm only there to scan for legit gigs, but my curiosity gets the better of me.

    I sold some stuff on there and it's always a shitty experience. Scammers, idiots asking stupid questions, people who come look but have no money. What the fuck is wrong with people? I purposely make simple, short but detailed ads and I still get people asking me questions that are already answered in the ad. I also say 'no holds' and 'no, I won't do a payment plan' yet I still get fucktards that will ask. They almost always waste a bunch of my time by acting interested but wait until the last minute to mention they don't have the money.

    I mostly just look at the real estate section which is pretty darn good as far as I can tell, I guess because it is probably the hardest to run a scam on (in my area anyway, that's probably not universally true) so they don't bother to try too much.

        Nobody pays for appraisals around here, they just think if it's old it's worth money. But I don't know about the sex trade, might be the opposite valuation.
