Is it normal i broke my dad's eye socket

Long story short, before I moved out on my own, my dad was on one of his typical drunken rampages, trying to start an argument/fight with my mom (not physically, verbally). This had happened many times before, but this time I just hit a boiling point. We fought, I knocked him out with one punch that broke his eye socket and put him in the hospital. I feel bad and never actually apologized to him. We don't talk much now that I'm married and out of the house.

    i punched my step dad in the face and he had to get stitches. Havent talked to him since. I wasnt gonna be a pussy and let him treat me the way he was. fuck that yo, way to stand up for yourself.
    unfortunately our society of men are mostly pussies so they will disagree with violence like this but, shit happens. live yo life bro. no ragrats

    Well you should probably go and say sorry and if he says its all well, then you can live your life without such burden. I mean he is after all your father and shit happens.
