Is it normal i bought christmas gifts, even though i don't celebrate it?

since it's december 2020, christmas is coming up. this year i planned not to celebrate it due to my religion. however, to some circumstances; things might have to change.

since my family isn't too big on religion (namely my siblings) originally it was planned that (i) wouldn't celebrate christmas while everyone is.

i hate the fact that they seemed so excited about this years festivities and even got me gifts in which i return got them gifts all because i felt guilty. they KNOW about my beliefs, and said they'd give the presents to me a few days early before christmas rolls around.

i am also planning to do that. just to add, i am a new zealand citizen and covid situation is improving, but i think at least 6 new cases arrived in auckland??

anyway i am justice wondering if it is normal i bought xmas presents even though i don't celebrate it?

i am 29 btw.

I don't think Christmas can be considered a solely religious holiday anymore, it's been borrowed and altered into a global holiday now outside of any one religion.

It’s normal, Christmas pressures people to do all kinds of things.

Normal to do that, I personally love Christmas despite some people in my mothers side of the family are just assholes about me celebrating it.
