Is it normal i bleached my skin for this reason?

Whenever I'd walk my dog I'd be worried people were comparing my skin to the shit I pick up. So I lightened four shades over two and a half months, and I maintain with a lemon exfoliating soap. The initial peeling process was painful, but the results were worth it in my opinion.

      Who do you think taught us to hate ourselves? Before you answer I know not everyone's racist. I was mainly talking about skin color hatred that's continued past the days of slavery. I also know a girl with pretty hands who was told by the hand modeling people she couldn't model because she was too dark to be ambiguous. And you should know that bigots won't buy nail polish if it's on darkie hands. Just look at the MAC ad where people (mostly white) in the comments were mocking a dark girl for lips people pay to get injected for.

        Someone fucking gets it. They steal our culture and spit on us for our ideas until the media and beauty companies can capitalize on it. Dreads and cornrows used to be nothing but ghetto. Rihyae is probably a clan member.

          I mean it is YOU who is bleaching your melanin away, it is YOU who is having thoughts about comparing your skin to shit, and that means YOU are the one who has a problem with your blackness. I get it, there's Eurocentric bias in beauty standards (Adopt-a-thot is right, I'm not excusing racist white peoples' bullshit), but how do you ever expect dark skin to become seen as beautiful if you're not trying to confidently embrace it?

    Why didnt more people vote the cortisone thing? You know how risky corticosteroids can be with prolonged use? And so many people dont realize it and mess up their whole body and immune system for skin

    My skin is the color of dog poo, but what troubles me more than that is that i also smell like dog poo. Will bleaching my skin make me smell better?

      Thank you. I can't claim it anymore though. From the outside looking in it may look nice to you, but there's a lot of stigma even from within the melaninated community. You should trade for a week with that new dark chocolate spray tan. Never mind, if you're a male it could prove fatal so forget it unless you're up for experiments.
