Is it normal i am attracted other people's parents?

Is this weird and do I have issues? I was brought up with the "respect your elders" principle. Growing up I wasnt a family-guy and after I moved to college I completely shut off from my family. No calls, or wanting to see them whatsoever. They still love me though. Dad even recently cussed me out on a voicemail because I have been ignoring his calls for weeks. Mom hasnt bothered calling for years because she knows I was never close to her, but she still wishes me well my siblings tell me.

But for years when I have come across anyone elses parents I am so incredibly attracted and nice to them. You know some people say they are great with kids? Well, I am great with people's parents! They love me because I am so polite, nice, respectful and jestful with them. Years ago my buddy's dad even said, "I want my daughter to marry a guy like you." Which was hella awkward thing to hear but I took it as a compliment. Now I just met my friend's mom and I love her to bits. Of course all this is in a nonsexual way, needless to say
