Is it normal his mom blames me for everything?

OK so me and my lover are in Georgia for the week visiting his family and his mom is getting on my last nerve.

She literally blames me for every single thing and one time she yelled at me but I wouldn't yell at her back because I have too much respect for her as his mother.

She burned some chicken and blamed me because my boyfriend and I were talking in the kitchen and she was adding in the conversation.

I ordered some pizza and it turned out she has this thing against pork (it had pepperoni) and then said she was going to bed hungry because of me.

I had to use the potty really badly when we were heading to the mall together this morning and she said a shirt in her size was sold out because of me.

And now we're laying in separate beds quietly because we went out in the living room to talk (far from her room) and she came downstairs to yell at me and say I was stopping her from sleeping.

I'm not sure what to do because I'm sure the next step is for her to blame global warming on me. Is this normal?

    Honestly I think she may be jealous that you're "taking" her son away from her. You definitely need to tell your guy about this and if he really loves you he'll want to make sure your happy: that means having a talk with his mom. She needs to understand that now you are the most important thing in his life.

    She sounds very petty and bitter. Talk to her or your boyfriend about it, how she's acting obviously isn't fine.

      I'm seriously contemplating just heading back to Virginia but it wouldn't be fair to him because he wants me to mesh with his family before we move in together and plan our lives together. I do want to marry him. And his mom's gonna prevent that from happening. :'( because she's an evil she-beast. I was happy for us to spend our lives together when we talk about it but now I'm cringing at the thought of her being my mother in law.

        Like I said just talk to one of them about it. Maybe she's just having a hard time letting go of her son? That's definitely something that happens, not that that excuses her current behavior. But maybe if this issue is discussed she would realize what she's doing and change her attitude.
