Is it normal he doesn't know i have mental illnesses

I have been talking to someone great online for a lot of months now and he doesn't know that I have mental illnesses, I have bulimia, anxiety, depression, anorexic tendencies and prone to delusions and have frequent bipolar episodes. Is it normal that this guy has no knowledge at all, I've resigned myself to the fact that I am crazy and have no problem telling anyone about my illnesses but honestly though when talking at some point if a conversation heads that way, should I confide in him about my illnesses.

Of course you should tell him.
When you say "talking to someone great" it sounds like either a very close friendship or a potential relationship?

If he truly is a great person he'll likely understand & things will continue as they are but at least he'll know what he's getting into.
Surely you want him to willingly enter into things with all the big things about you known?
& it will probably also stop you from feeling guilty or anxious about him finding out late

You should probably inform him at some point if you plan on meeting. If not then crazy on you crazy bitch!

Please don't keep mental illnesses a secret from any potential partner. It is only right that the person is well aware of what their getting into.

None of those make you crazy btw. What's wrong with you? It's like you're trying to stigmatize yourself. Talk to me once you're actually psychotic...

If anything its probably best to confide in that person about your illness only because that person is important enough to you.

Otherwise, if its just a casual exchange that the two of you have online, its not something you would just go out and say randomly as an "FYI".

If the topic comes up, thats a great opportunity. If not, there's no point in wondering or worrying about it.
