Is it normal he called my money his?

My dad left me as a child and started trying to become a part of my life a few years back. I was in a car accident months ago and not at fault. He was on the phone with my mom on speaker, and called my lawsuit settlement "mine and my daughter's money". I was appalled. His ex-wife has loads of money from working in real estate. He hasn't asked her for any yet he lives in her house with my teenage sisters. I'm so upset with him and he knows which is why he took my car without my knowledge and filled the tank. He didn't ask because I would have said no (my mom let him in, I keep my keys in my purse). Some phony act of kindness won't make me give him what he doesn't deserve. He's not a monster just really selfish and I almost hate him. Does anyone have greedy family they don't know how to deal with?

Ignore him; cut off relations. 11

I wanted to tick the first and second options. What an arsehole - don't let him have a cent and if he takes you care again without your consent call the cops and report it stolen.

Oh yes. Family sucks, but we can't pick the families we're born into. I say keep the money, and share none. It was rude for him to assume he can mooch off you like that.
