When characters (movies, commercials) are bad they tend to have ginger hair or curly ginger hair. Remnants of history still have effects on the current people you skeptics. Gingers are like the dark black people of white culture. Both are likely to be sexualized and fetishized based on appearance first.
How can it be racism when it's not based on race?
Check out fat people, especially fat kids, in movies: they're always stupid, greedy and/or lazy but it's not racism, just fat phobia & labelling.

I've always had an irrational fear of hurting a ginger. They're so fair skinned and look like if you just brush up against them they'd be ripped open and bleeding everywhere. I wouldn't say I'm prejudice against gingers, just that I'm deathly afraid of hurtin' 'em.

That too. That phrase is an effect of those in power spreading things to discourage those they are jealous of. Us red heads have beautiful rare hair (and I have cute freckles), and dark blacks have protection from the sun. Quit pushing us down for how we look and stop the jokes that actually hurt people.
