Is it normal getting a pet to feel loved

There's a thin line between being an introvert and being depressed and I've been lingering there for a couple of years now. The aftermath of bad friendships and well relationships in general as made me prone to isolation. I don't know how to make friends, i mean good ones. I know it's cliche but like the kind that really stick with you no matter what. I see so many people around me with such great relationships, so loving and caring and well.... It's alright when I don't think about it, I don't mind being alone... but I hate feeling lonely. Is it normal that I'm seriously considering getting a cat to keep me company? i just want to feel loved really...

I am an absolute introvert. Cats help. People make me emotionally exhausted.

It's a good idea. You may also consider having a dog or a puppy with you. They love their owners more than cats do. You many also consult a psychologist about your past experiences and get a better guideline towards your social healing.
Things will eventually be better with time. I wish you the best.

Could be a good first step in recovering. Good luck.
