I have been dating my girlfriend for about a year and a half, but she's known her best friend for about 4 years. My girlfriend and I are fairly serious, and I am admittedly a bit overprotective. This best friend is an attention grabber, especially around guys, and calls my girlfriend her wife and uses lesbian double entendres about my girlfriend around guys. My girlfriend used to participate, but has since toned it down when I'm around. The friend does it whether I'm there or not. Should I feel disrespected? Is this normal?

    I feel like most people have a huge double standard when it comes to flirting; if a guy were to do this to your girlfriend then there would be no question as to weather he had crossed a line. But if a girl does it then it's "hot."
    the bottom line is that if you feel uncomfortable with how she is acting then you should say something.

    Take her aside and share your concerns, if you feel the need to do so.
    She isn't intentionally trying to disrespect you.
