I've heard it is actually common for gay couples to not do anal, at least not very often. But for my SO, it seems to be a recent change, and as he's sort of become frigid in other ways, I'm wondering if it's performance anxiety or a lack of chemistry.

It's completely normal for anyone to want or not want any sexual activity.
