Is it normal for your dad to get jealous when he finds out you like a guy?

My dad loves me so much. His eyes glow when he sees me. He says I am really pretty all the time. He asks me to kiss him on the cheek sometimes but I never do that.

When I say something good about another guy, such as complimenting their appearance, etc. My dad gets jealous and says things like 'I am still the most handsome' in a half joking way.

He was never like that when I was a teenager. I am 22 now.

Is my dad normal?

    he's just uncomfortable that his little girl can "replace" him with another guy.
    not in a sexual way , but more like he's not the most important man anymore .
    my dad acted like this and actually admitted why.

    Fathers are goofy creatures, He is absolutely normal, You ought hug him more often; they are like teddy bears, if you starve him of love he'll wither away.

    Sounds like your over reacting unless your leaving out half the story but kissing your dad in the cheek is normal and hes probably not getting jealous he just wants to protect his little girl and plays around saying he's handsome but if he does more than this uh tell someone

    So, your dad thinks you're pretty. Never seen a dad tell his daughter how beautiful he thinks she is? It's completely normal. He probably just wants a kiss because some people think kisses are like hugs (example: my sister kisses me on the cheek everytime I see her and it's been a while). It's just a way to show affection.

    As long as he isn't putting his hand on your tie or trying to french you, don't worry.
