Is it normal for women to read up on mens issues and try to understand them?

Do women who suppprt the idea that men should learn about womens issues also believe that women should learn about mens issues? I feel like many women think they dont really exist or are far smaller or simply unimportant in the face of womens issues. Wouldnt this be leading to the same mindset that kept men from empathizing with women for so long. What if these issues become more prevalent, will they ever start looking... or do they already look. By look I mean research with the express purpose of understanding men, not as an offshoot to research abiut women. I mean the type of research a male feminist would do in the beginning, fully putting themselves in the shoes of the opposite sex and trying to walk. Is this normal practice? Should it be?

Women's problems aren't nessecarily more important than men's problems, but I do think there's a few more issues women have to deal with. Back in the day it was a man's duty to work and provide for his wife and family. These days some men live by thi sbut most don't, and expect that because its the 21st century, that women should work too. So women are left with all the usual problems such as childbirth, menopause, raising kids, and to put the cherry ontop their men expect them to not only do all that but contribute financially too. So yeah, I can understand why a lot of women couldn't give a fuck about "men's problems" because they're but a fraction of the catalogue of what most women deal with. Not all, but most.

I've been trying to figue out all my life how to be the "perfect man" it's something that always has concerned me having very few male role models. I was soft and women even found this true, ironic because ai was raised by women for women. I've spent most of my life tryingto craft a competitive spirit I dont naturally posess, an agression that I've never truely felt, an physic that conveys my manliness even though I care none for sports or physical activity and a stoic emotionality that hides my true feelings. Ive come to twrma with the fat rhat I will always be judged by my accievements and that laziness will not be tolerated. All good thigs I guess, but nine of them are things that were inherent to me. I've crafted this mans image to please.... largely women and at the same time ive learned that women crafting themselves to please men is wrong. I'm just confused as to if I should continue or just be myself. Womens issues are womens issues amd are important but I dont see many answers for me.

  • Some do but most don't. Even the women (and men but mostly women) in the oh so gender egalatarian group known as feminism do not do look at male issues unless it can benefit women in the long run or in a symbolic way.

I have a respect for women that do, though. People like GirlWritesWhat and the rest of the HoneyBadgers. They're badass.

Wow. It's gunna look like we're just jerking off each others egos here or something and were gonna get eye rolls but yea I have so much respect for girlwriteswhat (even though shes a bit angry) and dr Cristina Hoff Sommers the factual feminist. I had to stop identifying as a feminist though and now just identify as someone who is pro gender equality. Even that seems to piss women off oddly. I get it though because it implies that feminism isn't good enough. Thats not the case, feminism as an ideology is perfect, as a movement I find many of its followers lacking. Sort of like the Christian religion IMO. Thats the reason I just claim to be spiritual even though ai believe in God and Jesus. I digress though. Where do you think this will head eventually. I guess it will largely be a role reversal of men and women. I see it now in news. Just read a GQ article by a women about how men are now very sensative and touchy about sex while she wants it 5x a week. She totally misidentified the causes. It was astounding.
