Is it normal for women to lift more weights than i do?

I am a man in my 30s that has recently joined a gym. This gym has a majority of female members. I am new but I notice a lot of women being able to lift more than I can. As of now I can bench press 130lbs, squat 150lbs, leg press 200lbs, and deadlift 140lbs. Are the women at my gym just that much above normal to be stronger than me or not?

Times are changing, but it's not all bad because fit women are hot women.

Depends on your body weight and if those are one rep max or what you do reps at . Either way don't over exert yourself use good form and build a good base being so new to it your gains should come quikly

They've probably been doing this for longer than you have. Anyone with a brain, wouldn't expect The average newcomer to be able to work in the 200 or 300 range. Most people who start at a new gym tend to be insecure. It's okay.

Thanks, I will try to kill myself at first and do what I can. Maybe I will catch up these women eventually but I got a ways to go.

I weigh 248, and those are 1 rep max lifts. About form and risk of injury that is holding back my deadlift some. I am working on improving that so I can get up close to 200 lbs.

To be specific I started a month ago, and I had not lifted weights much since college. My job the past 5 years has not been very physical.
