Is it normal for this sheep to be the only one?
So my grandpa owns a sheep farm over in the UK. I go to visit him during the winter. Just recently he bought a sheep, but there was something different about him: he had red wool! "He was born that way" says the farmer he bought it from. Grandpa named him röd ull (Sweedish for red wool)
I feel so bad for röd ull sometimes because all the other sheep tend to stare at him sometimes like he's some sort of freak. Most of the time I see him grazing alone :'( sometimes I go out to the field with a picnic basket and a blanket and eat my lunch beside röd while he grazes. sometimes I pet him and talk to him. He's grown quite fond of me though and he follows me back to my grandpa's barn sometimes. I wish I could bring him back to America but I can't.
So is it normal this sheep is different? Is it normal I'm so tolerable of his difference? I see him as more than just a sheep, I see him as a friend.
Is this normal?
