Is it normal for the grocery bagger to hand your candy purchase to you?

Instead of bagging it with everything else? Implying that you're a fat pig with no self control?

        Who gives a fuck? Seriously.

You just seem to want to be offended. Enjoy.

        • Why do people fall into the same patterns of behavior based on dumb assumptions? It's just like those morons who arrested the boy with the clock. React to visual cues without thinking.

How is that remotely related? You are the one over reacting. You think someone should lose their job because you're a whiny, over sensitive brat...and you're saying other people are morons?

No its not an assumption you are fat. A lot of times people will ask the cashiers to not take that item they just grabbed off the shelf at the last minute and put it in the bag. A lot of times they will ask "Can you just give that to me" So they can eat it on the way home.

This goes for any kind of candy/gum/soda you get at the cash register. I am thinking this happens so often that the Cashiers started changing their behaviors to fit the customers. I think its more out of curtousy of what most people do, not them trying to imply you are a huge fatty.

I think the fact you would jump to that conclusion shows you are self contentious about your weight, but even if that is so, we actually dont really all care.

If someone has a shitty job as a cashier I doubt they are going to judge someone for being fat. If you do not WORK there, you probably make a lot more money than they do. Why would they possibly be judging you? Judgmental assholes eventually get fired for being rude. Everyone else just wants to get a good job, get a paycheck, and go home without offending a customer or getting canned.

Also try not to go off on Charli. She is not trying to offend you, she is just being realistic. The entire world is not conspiring to destroy you. You can relax.

Charli is starting to lose her patients with people and obviously doesn't have enough to reply to your rant. I was kind enough to try and give you that kindness, Most likely the same kindness the Cashier was trying to show you which you mistook as Malicious intent.

Do you happen to be that Looney woman who was ranting over the stores over having mannequins that were "too skinny"

'Round here they usually ask if you want it or want it in the bag. Same with a cold soda.

I don't get insulted by it, but it doesn't make sense to me. How'm I spose to eat a candy bar while pushing a heavy bugging, dodging cars and loading my shit up as quickly as I can? Please just put it in the bag with my last minute soda! I'll sip my soda after this laborious task of loading and then devour my candy as a reward for putting up the groceries when I get home.

    • He expected me to rip open and eat the MnMs while I was carrying the bag to my car, with my three hands.

No, he did it to be polite. Most people seem pleased to have their candy handed to them separately. It's just not my preference, nor clearly is it yours. I always just put my shit in the bag anyway. It's not a big deal, they're just doing what makes most people happy. Surely you were aware of this custom?

If I grab a last minute candy bar it's because I want it and I want it now. Bet'cho ass they hand it over.

If they bought a candy bar, than get insulted from having it handed to them separately, then they have some serious issues.

So then you are fat? No big deal, just eat yo candy, and be happy. If ya can't be happy like that then put the candy back, and hit the gym. Ya know ya can't have yo cake, and eat it too.

I doubt very seriously that the bagger had any such thought, but it's apparent that that is how you see yourself!
If you don't like it, then do something about it, but don't go putting all your shit on some poor minimum wage flunky.

One, its a nice gesture, cause they figure if they buy a last minute candy bar, they want it now, and it also keeps it from getting smashed in the bag. It happens in almost every store I've been in with candy.

If you are the kind of person who would get Insulted over that, than you don't need to be buying candy.

    • It's not a "last minute candy bar" that I pulled off the rack that they purposely place next to the line to trick stupid fat people into making impulsive buys. I went into the store intending to buy a bag of MnMs as one of the items on my grocery list.

If they are fat it only makes sense to hand it to them.

    • Yes, that would make sense. Of course a fat person would want to shove sugar and fat into their gullets as quickly as possible.

if it's a multi pack they would probably put it in the bag but if it's a single item they would probably assume you bought it with the intention of eating it at the time

Yes its normal unless u want it smashed or if it was the one purchase they typically would not put it in a bag just like when u by gum they hand it to u So why make a big deal out of it .

It's normal (: . A big majority of the time they hand the candy to you. Most people don't like it in the bag. Nothing to be offended about.

It is ok if I have opened a candy bag and a drink. Then I would expect it. But other than that they can put it in a separate bag if they are worried about it being squashed.
