Well, I have this friend I think is supercute (not cute as in sexual/fancy, cute in a lovely, puppy cute way). We're knowing each other and I really enjoy her company. She sometimes hugs me and approaches me in an innocent, friendly way, and that makes me feel comfortable and warm. As she was acknowledging me as a friend. I don't regard it as a sexual gesture, I don't want her to desire me. Still I like it because it's so cute. Is it a crush or normal friendship?

    Sex comes into a lot of things in life in one way or another, but not everything is about sex.

    If you both find hugging comforting - and most people do find some sort of human contact almost a necessity of life - then enjoy it for what it is, and try to not fall into the trap of sexualising something that's innocent.

    You like her as more than a friend but not ready to admit it to yourself, which is why you had to deny it 3 times in such a short paragraph. Because of your feelings, you're reading too deep into normal interactions people do on the daily basis.

    For example, my old best friend was a hugger. She hugs me when I see her, she hugs me when she's sad, she hugs me when I go home. Just hugs all day long for literally anything; yet she had crushes on boys like crazy. With all the physical contact over the years, it never crossed my mind that it was anything deeper since I don't see her that way and accept that she's 100% into men.

    women hug and kiss (cheeks) alot its not a lesbian thing really its more like when guys hug each other sorta thing

    Seems completely normal, to me. Unless there is a sexual "innuendo" involved, I don't see a 'problem'. Even if she secretly enjoys rubbing her boobs, on your's, so what... if that's as far as it goes, no harm / no foul, right?

    Affection doesn't "have" to be a sexual connotation.

    Women "pet" each other, all the time: hugging, holding hands, combing/brushing each other's hair, doing their nails, each other's make-up, swapping/trying on clothes, rubbing suntan lotion, on each other, at the beach, etc.

    Guys in sports slap each other on the ass, ALL THE TIME, but that's it. No big deal.
