Is it normal for sperm to come out?

I just stopped using Birth Control officially about three weeks ago. I noticed when I had unprotected sex while on B.C. Most of the sperm would come out after. The last time I did it, (last week) not a lot came out. Is this normal? I want to have a baby and so I am looking for any possible signs that are good.
