Is it normal for someone to say get out and than pretend it didnt happen?

My room mate gave me a month to get out. I am doing that now, and they just told me a week ago I better get my butt out soon. Since they own the house and I just paying half my paycheck for bills I guess they count as land owner. Anyways I almost done and I just filled out unemployment. So I should be ready to go at the end of the week. Yet they ask me stupid questions about stuff which they know the answer to. Is something wrong with them?
