Why would someone ask this question?

    yeah, it happen sometimes, especially if you wew not comfortable in that place.

    Maybe the person felt guilty somehow and was trying assuage his or her sense of guilt?

    Regardless, please don't feel pressured to validate this person if you did indeed feel pressured.

      Or maybe the person said
      "Hey, want to go on a date?"
      And OP said, "Sure!"
      And OP turned up to the date and said
      "You're taking me fucking bowling? For my date? What the fuck are you, some twelve-year-old trailer trash future-junky who isn't even willing to wine and dine me like a god-damn gentleman?"
      And the person said, "I didn't force you to come here, did I?"

      Boom.
