high metabolism , large appetite .. I don't know how common it is and there a different factors involved but I would say it's normal . It's not bad for you I wouldn't think depending on what you eat .
I'm the opposite. I eat like nothing and I gain weight. I've had symptoms of malnourishment and deficiency tons of times. I don't want to be fat, because in my family, everyone who was overweight died younger. I don't care about how I look, but every time I gain any weight I feel physically like shit. My doctor tested my BMR (not BMI) and found that it was very, very low. I'm a rarity, and it's annoying. It runs in the family. My aunt had a low BMR, and she ate less than her 140 lb husband, but was obese. I only usually eat once a day, and it's only one small portion. If I eat more I start piling on pounds. It's really annoying! I only became like this in the last few years or so. I used to eat like a normal person. It's like it started when I stopped growing. I'm still looking for ways to try to boost my basal metabolic rate. I think exercising more helped a little. I'm SO sick of feeling deprived.
Hourly? You eat more than one meal in an hour? I'm confused by this time indicator.
Everyone is different. I am always starving after I nurse regardless of how much I ate before. Food is fuel for the body and yours must be running high.
