Is it normal for someone in say their 80's to feel like it's been a long life ?

Ever know anyone in their 80's , do they feel like it's been a very long life , do they feel like it's been enough ?
Would they feel content moving on from this one at that age , ready ?
Is it normal to feel content with you lot at say around that age , where as life feels so quick and short when your younger ?

If you think it moves fast when you are young, it goes 10 times faster as you get older! I have to work out what month I'm in coz every time I look round it's Christmas again.

If elderly people want to move on they simply give up the will to live and go to sleep, without wakening up. It's not easy for young people to do though.

I'm sure many old people feel accomplished, however there are some who probably do not? Just a guess.

It has been a long life for them, however, it doesn't feel like 80 years.
This is because as we age our perception of time changes.

A lot of elderly people start thinking they're "done" around their late eighties... if they reach them.

I wonder tho although it might fly along the way , when you actually get to the other end do we turn around and feel that it has been a long life none the less.
Reckon people will be living to 120 in the next few decades, I wonder how their minds could fit it all in tho !
