Is it normal for somebody to act like this after his mother had a heart attack?

Some one I know had a heart attack and is still in danger and her son is being a complete fucking jackass he's acting like he doesn't care. he went over to his buddies house and was playing xbox and laughing and drinking after he found out. I had to drive him to the hospital because he was so drunk and do you know what he did? he asked her for money. He pisses me off.

    Maybe he's having trouble coping, that's all I can suggest judging by what you've told me. Has he faced something like this before?

    I agree with the suggestion that he might be having a damn hard time of it. Coping isn't easy for everyone.

    Also... consider the possibility that maybe she "deserves" it. Mothers are not the saints we like to think they are; terrible mothers are able to hide everywhere in plain sight because their children are so often made out as the villains for even thinking poorly of dear mum. They're people. And people can be toxic.

    We all act according to how we were raised. Cruel behavior isn't something you're born knowing; it's learned.

      Oh I beg to differ. Some people are just born cruel or with a sadistic streak in them. Not that they are always going to show it.
