Is it normal for parents to hit adult kids?

Is it normal for parents to hit adult children to get a point across? Some parents hit their kids when they are little to discipline but is it normal for them to hit them after they are grown up? If after 18 the child is living there the parent has a right to kick them out so the kid MUST deal with whatever behavior the parent has. What are your thoughts on the issue?

Only if the adult kid can hit back... Probably long overdue in some cases..

Well if they're like my sis, cried false rape, convined the hole town a lie, and is really bad at the mind tricks they play.... than go ahead and kill them. If they left the ketchup out, than just correct them.

I say normal only because I've experienced a lot of drama in my own family, but you could say I come from a dysfunctional family where not everybody gets along. Sometimes a conflict turns into a fight. Most families probably aren't like that though, I'm only speaking from my experience.

At that age, it's a little different because you can stand up for yourself. If your parent attacks you, I don't think it's normal to just let them attack you. I don't think it's normal to let anyone attack you.

Why wait to be kicked out? If you are being abused; leave!
I do not understand this post. Why would you allow ANYONE to abuse you? Pack you stuff and go.

People stay in abusive relationships because they receive a benefit that is rare. same case with this.
