Is it normal for my wife to get mad when i tell her how to alleviate her pain?

Sometimes, my wife will have an ache or pain from something like the position she slept in during the night. This morning, for example, she awoke and complained about her arms hurting. I offered to help her out of bed thinking I was being a thoughtful husband.

But instead of being grateful for my thoughtfulness, she seemed angry. I don't understand why she gets angry when I help her solve her problems. Sheesh! What a grouch! IIN?

      I'm a man. I get angry for some reason when my girlfriend tries to help me with my pain. Mostly because she gives me the most obvious advice -__- Headache? Take advil! NO SHIT SHERLOCK!!!!!!!!!!

      one of the first things you need to learn with most if not all females, to prevent possible arguments, is that they NEVER want you to help them fix their problem, even though the solution is so easy to you, they just want you to be understanding, and be like "aw, i hate it when that happens, i'm sorry" or something like that.

        I think you hit the nail on the head. Women like to talk about problems and display empathy. Men think they are asking for answers. That's the hardest thing in the world for a man to figure out.

      I did buy her some painkillers. I wouldn't dare make her feel like an old woman under penalty of death. I know the drill. Lie like a psychopath about how young and pretty she looks if you want dinner.

      If she asks you whether you think she's losing her youthful glow, you swear on a stack of Bibles that she looks even younger than she did before. God will forgive you because He understands.

    Just because she said her arm was hurting doesn't mean she needs help getting out of bed. I'd have been pissed too.
