Is it normal for my tooth to hurt after being filled?

I had a front tooth filled about a month ago, and it hurts sometimes. It doesn't hurt too bad anymore, it's mostly sensitive. Is it normal for a tooth to be so sensitive a month after having a cavity filled?

It's totally normal, like the others said, hot/cold/sugary things are your enemy until a month or two goes by.

I think it is normal. I had a lot of dental surgeries when I was a child, and my mouth and/or the surgical area would still hurt after the procedure. They usually give instructions on how to care for your mouth post surgery.

It never used to happen to me until this year. And that was after I didn't brush my teeth, pretty much at all, for 2 years. Now half of the fillings I get will hurt on and off for no reason, and are especially sensitive to hot/cold/sweets until 4-6 or so weeks after. Maybe there is some kind of connection?

I'm not sureif it's normal, but it happened to me. After about a month or two it didn't bug me anymore. Hot, cold, sugar. I'm fine now and it's been over a year.
